What is LoveYourIdea?
LoveYourIdea is a competition about ideas...that's it in a nutshell! No matter how crazy your idea for a new sports product, service or technology is, we want to hear from you!!
When does the competition close?
The competition closes on the 29th March 2018 at 1700
with winners being announced on the 6th April 2018.
How is the competition judged?
The competition is judged against two specific criteria; Innovation and Viability.
Innovation refers simply to how innovative the idea is compared to what currently exists in the marketplace.
Viability refers to how likely the idea can be developed into a real sports business.
Who can take part?
Any student(s) from any College, University or Research Institution within Scotland as well as those who have graduated within the last two years and currently live in Scotland. Entrants must also be 18 years of age or over.
I don't have a sports background, does that matter?
No, we welcome submissions from any and all degree courses. Sometimes the most innovative ideas come from the least likely of places!
I'm an exchange student, can I take part?
What happens to my idea?
When you submit your idea to the competition, intellectual property is automatically assigned to Sporting Chance Initiative. If you wish to retain IP rights to your idea and enter the Sports Innovation Challenge, you must contact us before the competition deadline on the 29th March 2018 at 1700.
Your idea will be part of our Ideas Bank which is used to help, develop and grow new sports businesses in Scotland. If you do not want your idea to be part of our Ideas Bank, you must contact us before the deadline and your idea and entry to the competition will be withdrawn, thus allowing you to retain your IP.
