The winners of the 2016 Sports Business Innovation Awards were announced at the Awards Dinner at the Glasgow Science Centre on 19th May 2016.
Having lost his leg at the age of 21, Van refused to be limited by his circumstances or the prosthetics available at the time. Setting out on a remarkable journey, Van created the cheetah-inspired running blade - a design that is still used by amputee athletes around the world to this day.

tri was founded to tackle limiting assumptions using rugby in Scotland as a means to build confidence and social skills amongst players with and without physical and intellectual disabilities.
TRANSFORMATIVE INNOVATION AWARD
The Experience's ‘Karting with a Conscience’ offers people with limited mobility and other additional requirements the opportunity to access the adrenaline filled world of electric Go-karting.
